Must. Get. Scales.

Lordy.

I went for my routine GYN yesterday.  I have two words that MUST be permanently burned into my psyche from here on in:  Diet.  Exercise.

And not necessarily in that order.

I don't have a scale at home, so I don't keep track of my weight.  Needless to say, when the scale at the doctor's office showed that I had gained a whopping 10 pounds in about 9 months, I felt faint.   Not that I haven't know I was growing, width wise, that is.  I kept wondering why I had to keep buying larger sizes haha.

Now, I realize I just came back from vacation.  And who doesn't put on a few pounds during vacation?  Because, after all, vacation is all about eating, right?  Well, not ALL about eating, but it's up there in importance.  That's one of the things we love about traveling.  Food, wine...the works.

I'm going to start whole-heartedly seeking out the best system for me to lose weight.  Since I know that if I just incorporate some exercise every day and eat a little less fat than I do now, I will lose weight.  It know my body and what works for me, and this is the way I have always been able to lose weight.

So the first hurdle will be figuring out a simple, convenient exercise program that I can do AT HOME, otherwise, I will never get it done.  This weekend I plan to look for some DVDs that I can pop in my computer upstairs and go to town.

Truth be told, this is what I think of drastic dieting (which I don't plan to do).  My sentiments, exactly.

good luck searching for an exerice dvd. i have plenty of my own. i'd let ya borrow a few if you'd like :-) i am running 4x a week. i LOVE it. 4 miles each on those days...except i walk up the inclines to rest my knees. feels great. good luck on your exercise & diet ventures!!

That's exactly what I think of dieting and exercise! LOL! Great photo. The lighting is fabulous.

In regard to exercise, I used to subscribe to Netflix and would get their exercise dvds. That way I could do one for awhile and then once sick of it return it and get a new one. It was a great way to try out new programs. BTW...good luck! I know you can do it!
