Time to spill the beans

I've been debating on when to announce our latest venture.

We're moving!

To a condo!

Currently we have 3600 square feet of house in the 'burbs.  Love it dearly, but too much.

The condo is about 1800+ square feet.  On one floor.  In the city.  Overlooking our local famous James river and the city skyline.  Gorgeous, to say the least. Closer to work for both of us.  Centered around all the places we love to frequent in the city.

We're trying to simplify.  Downsize.  All this purging we've been doing lately has been with an eye for getting rid of all our stuff.  And that we have been doing, full force.  And still are.  More this weekend.  We can't take it with us.  Nor do we want to.

We're on the verge of a thunderstorm here!  Cloudy skies. Lightning. Wind.  We need the rain, for sure.  But not a quick pass over.  We want rain for DAYS!  A week would be nice.

We weren't at a loss for rain at the beach last week.  Got a few good thunderstorms.  But it didn't curtail our fun, ooohhhhh no.  I was more concerned about my camera getting wet.

My sweet hubs stopped in a store and pick up a plastic bag, which I promptly wrapped around my beloved D300.  All is well with the world.

Penny, first of all I want to say congratulations on your new home. That move will be very exciting. You get to start anew without any clutter. I have to admit it sounds like heaven to me! I hope your move goes smoothly!

Now in regard to your photo...I think it is fantastic. I love the stop action of the rain and the multi-colored bokeh. Did I say that right? :o) Very cool!
